Central Location: Our location is ideal, nestled between Ala Moana and Waikiki, near the convention center. While we’re close to the heart of Waikiki, we’re tucked away enough to offer a peaceful retreat.
Comfort & Community: A cozy, welcoming space for travelers. You’ll also find our spacious indoor common area on the ground floor—a great place to meet other guests or just relax, even on rainy days. Plus, we have a communal kitchen if you’d like to cook during your stay.
Endless Adventures: An ideal base for remote working, exploring local culture, or unwinding on sandy shores.
Check-In: Starts at 2:00 PM.

Early Birds Welcome: Arriving early? Drop your bags off at reception anytime after 7:00 AM—then go find your first beach!
Dorm Room Requirements: Guests must be 18–45 years old Bring a valid passport or state-issued ID and proof you’re fresh off the plane from the mainland or international origins.
Check-Out: By 11:00 AM.
Luggage Storage: Available for $5. Your bags can chill with us while you squeeze in one last snorkel.
Free Wi-Fi: Stay connected during your stay.
Parking: On-site parking is available for $20 per night.
Communal Kitchens: Open from 7 AM – 10 PM.
Coin Laundry: Open from 3 PM – 10 PM.
Lockers in Dorm Rooms: Free to use with your own lock (small size).
Free Beach Gear Rentals: Bodyboards, beach mats, chairs, umbrellas, and more!
Discounted Surfboard / Snorkeling Gear Rental is also available
Reaching Honu Waikiki by ALOH at 1923 Dudoit Ln, Honolulu, HI 96815, is simple with these options:
The Bus (Public City Transportation): Take Bus #20 from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport to Waikiki. The closest stop is near Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel, just a 5-minute walk to the hostel.
Fare: $3 per ride or $7.50 for an all-day pass. (Exact cash or HOLO Card required)
Uber/Lyft/Taxi: Rideshare services and taxis are available at the airport. Expect a fare of $30–$50, depending on traffic.
Shuttle Services:
Shared airport shuttles like SpeediShuttle or Roberts Hawaii offer rides to Waikiki.
Fares: Start at $25 per person (one way).
Heads up: Shuttles must be booked in advance!
Quiet Hours: Maintain quiet from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests, especially in shared spaces.
Age Restrictions: Dorm rooms are available for guests aged 18 to 45. Guests outside this age range must book private rooms if available.
No Smoking: Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is strictly prohibited on the property. Please smoke at least 10 feet from the main gate.
Guest Policy: Only registered guests are allowed on the property. No outside guests are permitted.
Room Access: Use only your assigned room and common areas. Entering other guests' rooms is strictly prohibited.
No Drugs: Drug use is not allowed anywhere on the property.
No Refunds After Check-In: Once checked in, no refunds will be issued.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 5 days in advance. Deposit refund requires at least 10 days’ notice prior to arrival.
(During all peak holidays, Christmas, New year's etc. period (Dec 24th - Jan 2nd), all cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival time during this time.)
Change Date: Guests must send us an email to make any changes: Honu@alohhostel.com
Group Reservations: Reservations with 3 or more rooms are considered group bookings and require a 50% deposit. Please email your group details and reservation number, along with a completed credit card authorization form to Honu@alohhostel.com. Group bookings are subject to management approval and may be canceled if not approved.
